I may have been swooning over and checking out fiber over the last couple of days....
Can anyone tell me what type of spindle this is? And equally important where can I get one?
What is your favorite type of spindle and why? How about Fiber what should beginners use and what is your favorite fiber? That is if you are a spinner:)
It may have to do with how pea green with envy I am over those that were able to go to SOAR:)
I almost bought Sanguine Gryphon Fiber on Monday,
Look at this gorgeous shade of orange called Phoenix:
Funky Carolina on Tuesday,
and then Sweetgeorgia yesterday....
And then Hello Yarn today:
I only window shoped - I swear:) Famous last words... Anybody have some Hello Yarn or Sweet Georgia they are looking to de-stash?

That is my Viking Santa spindle! I love it so much, I started wholesaling from him. We still have a few left, I think- send me an email and I'll see if I can help you out. Aren't they lovely? I use this spindle all the time.

That fiber is truly gorgeous! From the training I received for spinning, the best fiber to learn spinning with would probably be a Merino because it would be easier to handle. Do you have this book "Start Spinning: Everything You Need to Know to Make Great Yarn by Maggie Casey", its a great tool for spinning.

Yes! I think you SHOULD take up spinning. Then you can give ME all of your yarn. You will be having so much fun with the fiber and spinning...you won't want to have the yarn laying around and I'm only too happy to help a friend. :-)
