Little Cowboy has been after me for days --to knit each of his pets a sweater:) This morning I finally gave inn... I found some STR Heavy Weight Scraps in Walking on the Wild Tide and cast on. I knit a few rows back and forth, added som YOs, and bound off. These are the quickest garments I've ever knit he he...
I think Little Cowboy bought off on them being sweaters:)
Phew! I got off real easy on that request - Ha!
On a more serious note ahem... There has been plenty of knitting going on:
My Wild West Shaw has grown considerably--I am working on the Buffalo lace area right now... After that section comes a short row of grass and then some hoof prints. Then the final scalloped edging. Yay! I was moving right along on this baby until yesterday. On my way home I rememberd that Scout is making her way to the Bay Area next week. Then I got to thinking wouldn't it be cool if I could have something knit up in her yarn to show her? You know as a surprise:)
Then I remembered that Tuscany shawl I had been swatching using this Zulu Knitty Scout dyed for me:
So I spent a few minutes on this re-acquainting myself with the pattern and also figuring out where I left off in Sept of last year.... Yesterday morning and afternoon I gave it a good go and I think I've made some progress:)
I'm on the 3rd repeat of the pattern... 8 more to go! I keep trying to psych myself out -- You can do it Marisol! Do it for Scout and won't she be proud!
Here is a close-up:)
Now you see... This is exactly the sort of thing that gets me in trouble! I am my own worst enemy:)
Meanwhile, the Wild West Shawl and the lovely Cleopatra Stockings are waiting in the wings...
To make matters worse Summer of Socks Begins this Friday - EEK! I have lovely sock yarn and patterns picked out! Some skns are already wound into pretty yarn cakes... Will I fit it all in? I have to find a way:) This old boyfriend of mine used to say---where there's a will there's a way!

Now those are some cute little alligator sweaters!! Or an alligator cowl? hehehe
That tuscany is absolutely gorgeous in that colorway! My tuscany is asleep.....good for you for bringing yours back!! You so can do it!

You are one COOL mom for making those alligator sweaters! And tell me, what is the secret to getting your child to smile miles wide like that? Adorable :) Sounds like you're going to the dying workshop w. Scout - have a real good time!

Love the Zulu Knitty! So pretty.
No way I'm letting Billy see the alligator sweaters. I'd be knitting critter cozies for the next month. Totally cute though.
