Time for Special Swap Again!

I recently received my special swap package from the wonderful Vicki who blogs regularly as Vicki Knitorious.  Vicki is an amazing knittter and it has been a pleasure getting to know her over the past couple of months.

For those of you that may be new to this blog.... I have been participating in Special Swap hosted by the wonderful Lynne from I Was Knit Together in my Mothers Womb.  Each month Lynne comes up with a new theme for her swap and the participants are paired up.  We then stay in touch through blogs and email, and in this manner, foster new friendships:) 

Earlier this week, I received this from Vicki!!!  Look at the size of the box!  OMG!!!

The Theme for this swap was "Picnic"

Look at all this stuff!  Be Still my heart!  The most delicious Caramels I have ever tased right next to some pretty All Hemp for Knitting!    The Caramels were quickly stashed away ---I am treating myself to 1 a day.  Such deliciousness that melts a little more with every chew:)

Back on July 12th, Vicki and I were emailing back and forth conversing and getting to know each other's likes and dislikes.  She asked if there was any special fiber that I had been itching to try...  In less than an instant I replied that I had been wanting to try out hemp.  Especially after seeing this vision of loveliness on Grumperina's blog!  Truth be told,  I was reading about this bag and the hemp at the precise moment this email thread took place!  It was wishful thinking on my part - Grin:) I have  the pattern already as its one of Weny Bernard's designs featured in No Sheep for You.

So imagine my surprise and squeal of delight when I unrapped all my gifties and found that Vicki had sent me the hemp!    Yay!  Thank you so much Vicki!!!     You made my week!!!

And just in case I change my mind she found this other Fake-A-Gamo pattern that can also be used for the hemp:)  Thanks Pal!

Oh an thats not all!  The thoughtful Mama that Vicki is sent something for 'Lil Cowboy too!

Lil Cowboy says thank you Vicki - I LOVE Stickers!!!All the stickers have been transferred to the book now ---he made up his own little sticker story:)

An awsome Picnic Basket Indeed!  See this is why we call this SPECIAL Swap!

Oh and by the way, I am gearing up to send out the gift packages to all my wonderful donors!  I will be labeling these babies tonight and make a trip to the post office tomorrow.  Thanks for your patience.... Lots going on this week:)

I would have been thrilled with the basket - they're a close relative to handbags, right? So neat to have it FILLED with goodies as well.

I know, it was a big box, wasn't it? I'm killing myself with the postage on these swaps -- I'm going to have to start watching my "presentation" a little more! Sure couldn't resist that picnic basket, though.
