Yarn Aboard! Yarn Aboard!
Its been a pretty busy and exciting week. I've had a couple of renowned travelers staying with me this week. Tuesday afternoon I came home to find Ferdinand Maggellan waiting at my doorstep. He was carrying some very important cargo all the way from Prennsylvania. He brought some fabulous goods and a very special message from my Super Duper generous YarnAboard Pal Kat from Sheepish Feathers. There was beautiful pencil roving from Crown Mountain farms in the autumn and Forget-me-knot colorways and some of her own roving in pretty bright colors of orange, green and white. Very nice and kind of spongey (good for the novice spinner that I am)... oh and there was a little bag of precious silk --also fiber she dyed herslef... She sure is talented... Let me tell you, this box of fibery gooness made me want to pull out my Maggie spindle and give the fiber a whirl --it's definitely incenting me to spin:) Thank you so much Kat! You certainly outdid yourself:)
Of course, I knew I had to quickly entertain Mr Magellan give him a quick tour of the city and then send him off again to his next destination. He needs to make it all the way to Canada to my Yarn Aboard Pal. So off he went on Wednesday morning and is currently on the Nortern route to Ontario.
Yesterday, I arrived home and found Yet another explorer waiting for me!! Wow thats twice in one week! I must be extremely pupular amongst the explorers hee hee... This time it was Sir Francis Drake! Oh and he was also was carrying some precious cargo. The lovely Amanda from BullDog Knits sent me an amazing sock yarn package. There was some very pretty sock yarn in the wildflowers coloray from Mountain Colors. A delicious Cadbury Caramello chocolate bar that my little man and I tore into right away, and an autographed copy of Knitting Rules! Stephanie says that I should KNIT ON! You know what that means, when the Harlot Speaks --we Listen! Oh and also included was a darling coin purse in the shape of a sock and the nicest M monogramed notecards:) Thanks Amanda! You Rock!
Thanks Mr. Maggellan and Mr. Drake for taking time out of your busy schedules to stay with me and thank you again Kat and Amanda for sending these lovely gifts. This sure made my week! And also, a humongous Thank You to Amanda from ClothesKnit for arranging such a fun Swap!

Yay! I'm glad you liked everything! Let me tell you how hard it was to send those pencil rovings out to you. I think I'm going to have to order those colorways for myself! I especially loved Forget-Me-Not.

Great packages! If those explorers keep dropping by, the neighbors might get suspicious!

Marisol....Thank you, thank you, thank you. Francis Drake made port in Graham, WA, just in time for the first day of Fall and all the rain that Washington loves to have.
You are so sweet and the package was awesome. I posted on my blog about all the goodies and the lovely lady that sent them my way.
Enjoy the weekend.

I'm not sure I could take that much fibery goodness in the course of a week. I would probably have had to stay home from work to pet it all day.
