Knitting at Lake Del Valle
I spent the loveliest weekend at Lake Del Valle in the Livermore Valley of Northern California. My husband believe it or not, still keeps in touch with the same group of friends he used to hang out with back in high school. One of the gals in particular Shawn is the absolute nicest woman. She and I hung out all weekend and talked about many things --past and present. It sure was nice having her around and getting to know her better. Funny thing is that through the course of our conversations we found out that her husband and mine were born on the same day--they are the same age! Isn't that wild? We all had a fun time pointing out similarities between the two of them --they are very similar in demeanor and personality.
In knitting news, I did manage to get some alone time to work on my SOS socks and to take some pictures of my second Purple People Eater sock. Here is a picture of me by the lake:
Look at how much progress I've made on the second socky:)
A few more of the campsite and scenery to give you an idea of how nice the campgrounds were:
During our ride back I worked on a scarf and just about finished it. Its for the Funky Scarf swap. I can't show pictures yet until I send it and its received by my FSS secret pal. Here is picture of the yarn called "You Go Girl" by Material Whirled
Oh and I've been meaning to thank my SP8 and Cynthia who sent me some awesome CDs. My SP8 sent me a belated birthday present - A Shakira CD --I love this CD and had been meaning to buy it but hadn't gotten around to it. So thanks a lot Secret Pal.
And Cynthia from Hula-La was giving out some CDs that she had left over from her birthday party. I happened to read up on and managed to snag one heheee...
Well thats it for tonight-- Got to get back to my sock so that I can meet that deadline:)

Well, I got my package. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being the best SP ever! All of the gifts were totally perfect and I can't wait to learn the socks on 2 circs thing! :)
How funny that I've been to your blog before!
Anyway, your pics are gorgeous. What a great location. It looks totally relaxing.
Again, thank you so much. You rock! :)
